I want you to be successful and will maintain this blog to assist with that through my lens as a teacher serving as an instructional technology coach. I plan to post a variety of free resources, host discussions, and give shout outs on this blog. I encourage you to sign up to receive the updates through email as it will be the easiest way to keep up. Not everyone is ready for all of that but if you've read this far there's a pretty good chance that you are one of the ones I've been waiting for. Go for it! The sign up is on the right side of this page.
The first shout out I'd like to give is to the members of the AHS math department who inspired me to start each blog entry with a positive quote. After reading Classroom Instruction that Works, several of them decided to post and discuss a positive quote with students as part of every lesson. The research shows that this practice has a positive effect on student achievement. Following their lead, I will include a quote at the top of every post on this blog. Feel free to use it and/or discuss it in the comments below.
I look forward to working with you this year. I'll leave you with the a capella version of the "I Believe in You" piece I performed on our first day back. I really do believe in you :) Let's have a great year!
