On the evenings of Tuesday, October 27th, and Wednesday October, 28th, the Library of Congress will host a free online conference for unlocking the power of primary sources. The conference has 2 strands, "Instructional Strategies" and "Resource Spotlight". There are at least seven options on each night and registration is free. They will also give you a pd certificate for participating. Click here for more information. If you're unfamiliar with what the Library of Congress has to offer, you may wish to check out the session titled, "Library of Congress 101 for Teachers". It's offered from 7:00-7:50 on Wednesday night. Each session will be recorded and made available after the conference for those unable to participate during the time it's offered. |
